Our Software Tools for Unlocking Are Back

16 Nov 2012

This may have taken an eagle eyed user to notice, but for around a month or so our service for unlocking phones through the use of software tools hasn't been available. We're very happy to say that they are now back.

The difference between unlocking a phone using an unlock code and a piece of software is only in the process, but the results stay the same. The unlock codes themselves need to be located by searching the available databases, which can take a few days to complete for some networks and phones. However, the software can pretty much do it all automatically, which saves not only time, but money as well.

The software tools are only available however for certain handsets and networks from Nokia and Sony Ericsson. Sorry to be a pain if you were looking for an alternative handset to unlock using our software service, but for most other popular handsets our unlock code service is pretty close to instant, with codes being delivered on average between 5 and 25 minutes after the order is placed.

We are therefore hoping that for people who do have a Nokia (unfortunately not the Lumia series) or Sony Ericsson handsets this option helps.

All our unlocking options come with easy to follow instructions, but if you did have any reservation about using a piece of software (and we know some people do), please don't hesitate to get in touch and our support team will be happy to help you through the entire process.
