Things are always moving in the cell phone sector and October has been no different. It’s often difficult to keep up with everything that is going on so here is a quick summary of what has been happening.

Nexus Ditched. Hello Pixel and Pixel XL

Google announced that they were dropping the Nexus brand name in favour of a brand new phone range called Pixel. It brings together a ‘personal assistant’, cloud storage, communications, photography capacity and virtual reality technology. The personal assistant element will remove the need to physically search for items and allows you to ask the phone questions, and receive answers. It is available in Quite Black, Really Blue and Very Silver.

Release Date for the Samsung Galaxy S8

When the Samsung Galaxy S7 came out everyone was pretty sure that it would be impossible to improve on what had been created. However, we were wrong. The S8 is perhaps the most stylish and powerful Smartphone’s that has ever been created. We’ve still got to wait a long time until it comes out (February 26) but it will totally be worth it.

Apple Warns there’s lots of fake iPhone chargers about

If you bought your recent iPhone charger through Amazon then there’s a 90% chance that it is a fake, according to a recent lawsuit filed by Apple. Of particular attention is the company Mobile Star LLC who Apple believe have infringed upon their trademark and have been selling dodgy iPhone chargers, claiming them to be real. These cables could potentially be dangerous so make sure to check yours out if you are concerned.

ZTE Axon 7 Mini now available for pre-order in the US

For $299.98 you can get your hands on a ZTE Axon 7 Mini. ZTE announced last month that the phone is now available for pre-order from Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, NewEgg, and ZTE’s online store. It has a smaller screen than the Axon 7 and 3GB of RAM. It is certainly a budget phone, but what’s the problem with that!
